The beauty of a couple lies deep within their souls and it cannot be taken for granted. It’s looking into each other’s face and finding the home you have been searching for all your life that will make a man propose to the woman he loves. Amazing Women In My Life
A rhythmic beat gets this girl shakin’ her groove thang. She has a zest for life, living healthy and strong. Continual inspires me to keep on keepin’ on getting’ my cardio freak on! Run one mile? Why not seven? She is light and bright. She is shy and coy. She is so in love with her fiancé and excited to get married in Jamica later this year. She is a single mother, she watched and cared for her mother and grandmother during their battle with illness. She is sexy and chill. She’s got a lot going on. She is my friend. She is Deidre. And I love her.
Why do I do weddings?
All the cliché answers are, “I love weddings”…”I love telling your love story”…”I love love”. YES! This is true, but too generic of an answer. Wedding photography is an innate ability for me. It’s like knowing you have an itch and knowing the exact location of where to scratch that itch. Hmm, not sure that was a good example, however, I digress. Weddding photography is an obsession. It’s the thrill of the hunt. It’s taking more images than necessary and finding that, “OHHHH, there it is!” shot. Wedding photography is more than that to me, oh so much more. I absolutely love people. My husband feels uncomfortable when I speak to total strangers. Like I have torets and have to comment on someone’s cute outfit, or beautiful eyes or makes some comment about something funny that sticks out in a funny situation. I’m always looking for funny situations. Everyday, I make myself laugh, it’s as if I live in a modern day “ I Love Lucy” episode.
For me, wedding photography is about getting to know you as a couple. It’s about taking your fist nervous engagement shots. It’s about sharing the Big day that celebrates two people, who lived independently from each other for many years and then…finds each other, to start their new lives together. After the big Wedding day, it turns into taking maternity portraits, that turns into newborn portraits, that turns into family Christmas card photos, that turns into your children’s Graduation Portraits, that turns into generational portraits.
Wedding Photography is the beginning of creating a relationship with you and your loved ones. I love to share moments with people. That’s what life is all about, our moments we share with the people in our life. I’m curious about what makes your world go round and round. It all begins at one point. And I chose this path…and I am so grateful!

Ross and Colleen are going to be AMAZING parents. With less than three weeks to go, this newbie mommy-&-daddy-to-be are nervous, excited, eager and patiently awaiting the arrival of their new baby. On a snowy and sunlight afternoon, we wanted to capture moments to celebrate this milestone point in their path to parenthood and I think we captured it, just AWESOMELY. That's right, I'm going to use that made up word to describe these images and I hope you enjoy this sneak peak of what we captured yesterday. Meg & Bob Gintoft have raised five beautiful children together. Their children are having children of their own. Now Aunt Meg and Uncle Bob are grandparents to six grandchildren. Meg and Bob are a handsome couple, amazing parents and wonderfully proud grandparents.

My husband's side of the family is HUGE. My children's Great Grandparents, Vincent and Dorothy met in high school. They fell in love. Bought a house and then raised twelve children. Their children had children. And their children had children. Every Christmas Eve the family gets together to share stories or updates on accomplishments, graduations, weddings or to tell other funny stories that happened throughout the year, eat some yummy appetizer one of the aunts have made, drink brandy slush, exchange a white elephant gift have a sleighing good time. It was an honor to host the annual family Christmas party and it was a bigger honor to capture these two together in my little studio. As Grandma Dorothy always says instead of using a cursing word, "Oh, God Bless America!" These two youths is how our family started and and I'm so glad to be part of their legacy, their family and it's an honor to know two people who had so many children, still married and still in love. It's truly a blessing.

What's that honey? Your company's holiday party is in Chicago and we have both sets of Grandma's available to babysit? Twist my arm and you can't get me in the car fast enough. Don't get me wrong, I have a very blessed and happy life. Our first house, two awesome kids, a husband who loves me to the moon and back and an amazing photography business. Yet, those little moments when I get alone time with my love, in a great big city full of people, sidewalks, twinkling lights, hustle and bustle, sirens and horns honking, my favorite stores within walking distance, Tiffany's, Louis Vuitton, Zara, Anthropologie... I must say, I quite enjoy this moment on the 41st floor of a very nice and clean hotel room and king size bed. Now, time to get ready to put on grown up clothes and boots and hit the town with my man.

Matt+Patti | Engagement Session 2015 |Delafield, Wisconsin
Matt, the airplane Pilot met Patti the Nutrionalist. The two fell in love over a year ago and now they're engaged to marry in 2016. These two have an infectious silliness and a deep love for each other that everyone who knows them can easily see. Yesterday, I was lucky to spend the afternoon near the Historic Delafield Fish Hatchery with the couple. The moments caught kept me laughing remembering the poking and tickling between the two as well as many sweet moments. Patti is the light to Matt's Top Gun goofy antics. When I asked Matt what he wanted to for Christmas he replied..."All I every wanted for Christmas was Patti. Now I have her. I don't need anything else..." After spending the day with them, there is quite a lot of truth spoken in his slight "cheese" as Patti would state. Congratulations you two and I wish you a very happy holiday as the newly betrothed "en-fianced" couple. I remember when this little munchkin Lorelai was still in Kaitlyn's belly. Now, my little Virgo behbeh friend turned THREE and she is EVERYTHING that a THREE year old encompasses. She is rambunctious, polite, silly, wiggly, all smiles and a little lady on the go. Jeff and Kaitlyn are never bored when this little one is around.
