Wedding: Dave + Tiffany Maryanov

The blue sky and warm weather sparkled against Tiffany's wedding gown.  I could tell in Dave's eyes when he saw his bride to be, he was anxious and excited to marry Tiffany at that very moment. But Dave had to wait for the wedding guest before he could proclaim his eternal love for Tiffany.

I have learned that only two things are necessary to keep one’s wife happy. First, let her think she’s having her own way. And second, let her have it.

July 1, 2016 was one of the most perfect days I've spent in downtown Milwaukee, Wisconsin.  Tiffany and Dave prepared for their wedding day at the beautiful and historic Pfister Hotel.  The amazing architecture was the perfect punctuation mark for the day and the warm ambiance and soft tunes coming from the grand piano set the mood for what was about to come.  I met Dave, Tiffany and their children, for a lovely afternoon walk to the Milwaukee Art Museum for some family portraits. Dave and Tiffany had an intimate ceremony with their closest family and friends at the very modern and amazing venue called The Garden.  The atmosphere at The Garden felt as if we were inside a beautifully constructed modern nest.  White wood was bound together in random formations.  White chairs were lined with candles inside silver Morrocoan lanterns.  A wedding cake and cupcakes were front and center.  The marble bar top complimented the wedding cake and cupcakes in such an elegant way, helping to set the mood for a warm and loving atmosphere. This day could not have been spent in a more perfect way and I'm honored to have been able to capture Dave & Tiffany's wedding day moments.

THE GOAL OF YOGA (NO, IT'S NOT THE HANDSTAND)...

The goal of yoga...

The yoga pose is not the goal.

Becoming flexible is not the goal.

Standing on your hands is not the goal.

The goal is to create space where you were once stuck.

To unveil the layers of protection you've built around your heart.

To appreciate your body and become aware of the mind and the noise it creates.

To make peace with who YOU really are.

The goal is to love, well...YOU.

Come to your yoga mat to feel; not to accomplish.

Shift your focus and your heart will grow.
